Papu New Guinea Kumul International Nixon Putt to Make Super League Switch

Castleford Tigers are set to sign Papua New Guinea international Nixon Putt, Rugby League Live understands.

The back-rower, who played for the Kumuls in last year's World Cup, has received an offer from the club and is set to become their latest addition for the 2024 campaign.

Athletic and physically solid, Putt was one of PNG's standout stars in the World Cup, playing in all four of their games. He was named man of the match following their 36-0 win over Wales, in which he scored two tries.

The time has come for more Papua New Guinean Players to make their move to Super League Clubs and give up their NRL dreams that usually never happens.
