Enga Mioks Captain Junior Talin was called up to the Hunters squad today after leading his team to an unlikely 8 straight wins in the PNG National Rugby League Competition.
The barnstorming backrower will train weekly with Hunters but play his usual role with the Enga Mioks on the weekends. In the event an opportunity arises for him to put the Hunters Jumper on then he will have a go.
Other players such as Lae Tigers utility Warren Glare, Port Moresby Vipers behemoth Philemon Kimisive, Mendi Muruks Ismael Waine and other players attached to PNGNRLC franchises are on similar arrangements with the Hunters.
After the Hunters performed poorly in the opening games of the 2023 Queensland Cup Competition Hunters Coach Tapend is looking into the local premier competition to recruit the most inform players to improve Hunters performances.
