 Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has called for a shake up to international rugby league eligibility. “I don’t believe guys should be able to go back and forth (between countries),” Meninga said to The Courier Mail. “What I would like to see is that every player nominates which country they want to play for right from their first registration in the NRL. That way, there is no confusion around who they are eligible for.  Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has called for a shake up to international rugby league eligibility. Under the current international rules players can represent nations in both tier one and tier two, allowing players to switch allegiances. As it stands Australia, England and New Zealand sit in tier one with Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, France and Papua New Guinea holding second tier status. The PNG Football Association Women’s National Soccer team PNG LAKATOIS who are representing the Oceania confederation are in the Playoffs to Secure a Spot in the FIFA Women's World Cup. The wait is finally over with the FIFA Women's World Cup Inter-Confederation Play Off Tournament set to kick off this evening at 7:00pm (NZDT) in Auckland, New Zealand. The FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia – New Zealand 2023 is the first to be hosted in the southern hemisphere, first to be co-hosted by 2 confederations and the first edition to feature 32 teams. Also vying for one of the three remaining qualifying spots for the Women’s World Cup is the PNG Football Association Women’s National Soccer team who are representing the Oceania confederation.
