The FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia – New Zealand 2023 is the first to be hosted in the southern hemisphere, first to be co-hosted by 2 confederations and the first edition to feature 32 teams. Also vying for one of the three remaining qualifying spots for the Women’s World Cup is the PNG Football Association Women’s National Soccer team who are representing the Oceania confederation.
